Day 42 Jump

I walked a different route yesterday that had a lot of ups and downs. So I was really working the backs of my legs and my thighs. Sore, sore, sore! I guess that's the key work different parts of my body everyday.

My attitude still hasn't changed. I still hate exercising but I have to do it.

Day 41 Ain't That Peculiar

Still sore but that's not stopping me. Walked last night hoping the soreness would be better today no such luck. I feel good...............good and sore that is.
I cheated last night. Yes I did!    I had an iced tea with equal.

I've been staying away from the artificial sweeteners they are not good for my diet nor are they good for the body. But I have to admit that it was soooooooooooooo good! I was like a crack addict I couldn't get enough.  But I think I'll be alright  LOL

All that block party prep, breakdown and dancing in the street.  But it was so much fun the soreness is so worth it. 

On this 39th day I feel good about how I feel and how my progress is going. I'm working out and eating well. I pray everyday that I have the will and the strength to keep going.

Day 38 Dancing In The Streets #2

There was literally dancing in the streets! 

We all helped clean up after the block party tables and chairs put into a pile and then the line dancing music came on and people started to dance in the middle of the street people came out of there houses and were dancing on their porches it was like something you would see in the movies. It was great! Black, white, yellow, young and old were pouring sweat and having a blast and it was a great workout.

We did them all The Stomp/Cha Cha Slide, Cupid Shuffle, Casper Slide and a few more that I didn't know what they were called but I picked up on it pretty easily. The key for me was to just keep it movin!
The more I move and sweat the more pounds melt off my body!

Crazy today we are having a block party on my street literally right in front of the house so I was detoured from my walk with setting up moving tables lifting boxes etc.... That was quite a workout in it self.

Day 37 Everything

Last night my nephew who is 7 going on 45 looked at me and said Auntie your losing weight! Really? I mean I know I am but when someone notices even if it's a 7 year old made me feel really good. All of my hard work is well, working.
Yay Me!
My friend Amy called me as I was walking out the door so I took her along on my walk I was amazed that I could walk and talk at the same time and at a fast pace to boot. She also did my crunches with me and I did even more then I have been. I am going to start using this practice each and everyday so you'll never know who'll I'll be taking with me next.

Day 34 Butterfly

Not in as much pain as I was yesterday Thank God! I got up early 7:10am thank you very much because I had some thinking to do and it was on my mind.
While I was jiggling my way through the neighborhood a man came out of his house and said good morning, walking is the best exercise isn't it? You know I've seen you many mornings and I just had to come out and tell you to keep it up. I was 100lbs heavier a year ago and I know how hard it is.
I was blown away with hearing that from a complete stranger.

Today I had an opportunity to audition for a fat woman in a major film and said no, no, no! There is a thinner me inside of this fat woman and I don't want to be on film forever as the fat black woman.
(been there done that remember Malcolm X )
As I tried to explain this fact to my Agent/Manager and much to my dismay I had an emotional meltdown.  I didn't know that I was that emotional about it until today and it made me really realized that I am serious and how important it is to me not to be the fat black woman anymore. Now don't get me wrong I will never be skinny because I love being curvaceous and having jiggly parts.
I have to say that it was hard to have that talk/meltdown with him but it was a good thing because now Rob (my Agent/Manager) understands who I am as Cynthia and where I am as an actor.

Day 33 OMG!

OMG!!

 I am in so much pain today! 

My upper back, shoulders and arms are killing me.
I didn't go to bed until after 3am and then I didn't sleep well at all. Just in pain trying to sleep. Tossed and turned from side to side no luck uncomfortable and painfully Then trying my back for a while back to one side then the other I tryed  my stomach...... LOL  no way my breast makes that impossible looked at the clock its now 7:25am I'm up I was done trying to sleep nothing was working. I got up and rubbed Arnica gel on my back and shoulders. (I thinks might have over did my workout on the Ab Doer the last few days) But I didn't let it stop me?
Hell to the NO!!
I got up slowly and got dressed and got out. Started out slowly but soon I picked up the pace. I must thank my Arnica gel for helping me today. Thank you Arnica!

Good Morning

Rainy overcast day but did I let it stop me from my task?....... Hell No!

I got up got my sore old body dressed and got out into this overcast and cool day. 

While walking and jiggling my way through the neighborhood I noticed 

how quite it is so I turned my iphone off and just listened. The wind was blowing softly, the leafs where swinging in the trees sounds of a few cars going by and there was just a few people out walking their dogs. quite

It was so peaceful just like a Sunday morning should be.

I have lost 20lbs in 30 days

Early start this morning. I felt that I had to get up and out in the sun on this day of remembrance. I will use this day to reflect on what was lost but I will also use this day to appreciate my fat life and the people I love.

I have to start today's entry by saying
WHY I'M I SO SORE!!! 

Okay now with that said a friend told me that I maybe pushing myself too hard. That's me I jump all in no holds bar and then I'm sorry for it later and I am so sorry! 

Message to my body: 

Dear Body,  I'm sorry! Now can we please make up and move on? 

So I'm taking a day of rest so that we can make up. Don't get me wrong I'll be back at it again in the morning for sure.  

I still did my crunches 125 this morning and before bed I'll do another 125 for a total of 250 crunches because I have to.

Last night walked on the beach with my nephews and fed the seagulls and 125 crunches.

Up and down the stairs too many times to count
Tried and hope to go to bed before 2am to get an early start in the morning.
